Meet the Manikins — learn about clinical training at Treloar’s
Clinical training is vital at Treloar’s. As a former NHS…
Our Royal Patron, HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO visited us on Wednesday 5 June to meet with our students, who have highly complex and often multiple disabilities, and see what life at School is like.
The Countess was welcomed by the Vice-Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Rear Admiral Iain Henderson CB CBE who in turn introduced Treloar’s new CEO, Jessica Taplin, and Alistair Mackintosh, Chair of Trustees who escorted Her Royal Highness on a tour of Treloar School.
Her Royal Highness visited a variety of classroom activities including Science, Design & Technology and PE where she took part in a game of table cricket with the students. She also met some of the younger pupils during a Sensory story session led by Treloar’s in-house Speech & Language, OT and Music Therapy staff.
“We are honoured to have Her Royal Highness’s long standing Patronage. It means a very great deal for our students and committed team to have her spend such quality time with us. They were all overjoyed to meet her and show her what they were able to achieve.” Jessica Taplin, CEO, Treloar Trust.
