Plant sale adds colour and helps Treloar’s
Gardens across Hampshire and Surrey are looking brighter this week thanks to the fabulous plants sold at last week’s Plant Sale.
We were delighted to host the annual Friends of Treloar’s in our piazza last Saturday (11th May). Despite drizzly showers being promised all week the weather held out, and we welcomed hundreds of guests to our campus.
There was a huge selection of plants available including some wonderful vegetable plants donated by Tozers, who have an historical connection with Treloar’s. The vegetables and herbs were a big success with Phoenix Perennials on hand to provide advice and the produce stall did a roaring trade in cakes and treats.
Visitors to the Sale were able to get refreshments from the café whilst enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Zephyr quintet.
Thank you to everyone who came along and to the local companies who kindly donated prizes for the raffle. Particular thanks to the Hen and Chicken and Bodyline who have supported The Friends of Treloar’s Plant Sale for many years, and to the Friends themselves for organising such a fabulous event in aid of the young people at Treloar’s.
