Poet and Artist Sophie Herxheimer visits Treloar’s

The Treloar Sixth Form were delighted to welcome Sophie Herxheimer – Professional Poet and Artist – back to the classroom on Thursday 27 June. Sophie ran a series of workshops throughout the day including all of the students currently in TFE – Transition to Further Education. She provided opportunities for some students to work in a wonderfully sensory way and was delighted with the written poems created by the more able students. The overall focus was on Love & Tragedy, linking to the Sixth Form performance of Romeo & Juliet earlier in the year. A great day was had by all and we hope to be able to invite Sophie back again in the future.
