Royal Marine Association Concert Band back at Treloar’s
In June, we welcomed back the Royal Marine Association Concert Band Ensemble and singer Ricky to Treloar’s to perform to students from school and college.
We had a range of music to join in with from an Abba medley to classics such as Sweet Caroline and Amarillo. The students particularly enjoyed the ‘guess the theme tune’ and ‘guess the film tune’. The newly refurbished FT Hall was fabulously cool on a hot day and the music lifted the spirits of everyone who had the opportunity to hear them play. We are extremely fortunate to have such a close relationship with a wonderful group of musicians and we hope to welcome them back to Treloar’s soon.
The Royal Marines Association Concert Band is a concert band of around 50 musicians. The Band members are former Royal Marines Musicians as well as further members of the Corps family, musicians from other Services, invited professional and experienced civilians. They rehearse every Thursday evening in purpose-built, fully equipped rehearsal rooms at HMS Collingwood, Fareham.
