Treloar’s Calendar Competition
The Treloar’s Calendar Competition was one of the competitions our students could participate in this term. The task was to photograph Treloar’s outdoor areas and capture nature and its beauty.
All the photographs entered into the competition were judged by a judging panel that consisted of Principal, Martin Ingram and John Wood, Head Gardener at Hinton Ampner, National Trust.
Before judging the photos, John did a Q&A with a primary class. The children were really interested in John’s work as a gardener and asked him a lot of questions about his job. Afterwards, John was taken to see the Outdoor Classroom Exhibition in the Jowett Centre where he had to choose his favourite photos. From there, he was taken by the Head Student for a tour around the campus.
It was very difficult to choose the winners, all of the entries were of a really high standard and clearly showed the students creativity and love of the outdoors.

The winning photos were chosen to be featured in the 2023 calendar that is now available for purchase. By the end of his visit to Treloar’s, John said:
Thank you to the Head Student for showing me the wonderful outdoor spaces at the School and College and to 2KP class for sharing their curiosity and love of the outdoors.
