Treloar’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has proven a challenging time for everybody. At Treloar’s we have continued to provide our students and their families with vital services and support throughout.

As government guidance has changed, we have adapted accordingly and ensured that all of the necessary precautions are in place to reduce risk to students and staff.

We have thorough risk assessments in place for individual students, classrooms, offices and public spaces around the campus, as well as measures to ensure effective social distancing, hand washing, testing and regular deep cleaning.

We continue to support our students at the School and College on-site as we continue to strive to ensure that our students’ educational experience is as full and enriching as is safely possible.

We will continue to ensure that every effort is made to reduce the risk of the virus entering our campus. Unnecessary access to the School and College is restricted, and movement of staff and students around the site is carefully managed to reduce risk.

The impact of the pandemic on Treloar’s

We believe that the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) will affect us for some time to come. Many of the services we supply to our students are not covered by statutory funding. As always, we continue to rely on the generosity of our amazing supporters to provide these services as well as specialist equipment.

Like many other charities, we have been affected by a significant drop in fundraising income, in part due to the need to cancel key fundraising events. As we begin to introduce socially distanced events later this year, we look forward to hopefully seeing you then.

We are hugely grateful for all of the support we have received in these difficult times and we are aware of the challenges that people are dealing with themselves at the moment.
