Treloar’s hosts another successful FutureFest
Treloar’s Future Fest 2018, now in its twentieth year, continues to offer an opportunity for students to meet service providers from a variety of sectors – from housing to advocacy services, care organisations and motability services to universities and activity providers. This year’s event was held on Friday 9 February with 40 charities and organisations taking part. The event was established in 1998 to fulfil the Treloar’s aim of helping to prepare students to live as independently as possible once they leave the School or College. Treloar’s continues to encourage its students to make choices relevant to their future lifestyles.
Feedback from exhibitors and attendees was overwhelmingly positive. A parent commented: “We felt that the event gave us an excellent view of the possibilities for our son’s supported living beyond college”. One of the exhibitor commented: “We had a lovely time meeting with families, staff and students – a very positive experience. Well organised event with a wide range of information available.”
