Treloar’s Virtual Liveries Day
On Thursday 10th December, we were delighted to welcome over 18 representatives from Livery Companies for our Virtual Liveries Day – our first ever virtual event!
Attendees were joined by Simon Birch, Treloar’s CEO and Martin Ingram, Principal of Treloar School and College who both gave an update on life at Treloar’s during the pandemic and the challenges faced to keep both students and staff safe on the Campus.
The highlight of the event was most definitely a virtual visit to a Sixth Form Class who were participating in a Lis’n Tell: live inclusive story telling communication session run by Caroline, a Speech and Language Therapist at Treloar’s. The session was themed round “A Christmas Carol” for a play that the Sixth Form are planning in 2021 entitled “What the Dickens”. The students were absolutely incredible and we were delighted to receive hugely positive feedback from attendee’s – including:
• “Wow! Great performance by all the lovely students. Well done!”
• “Thank you for a wonderful presentation this morning. I really enjoyed the students singing!”
• “This has been really interesting and thank you for a superb presentation.”
Jon Colville, Treloar’s Fundraising Director and Lucinda Gillingham, Head of Trusts & Liveries also gave attendee’s an update on fundraising and the latest appeals which Treloar’s are raising funds towards.
We hope this will be the first in a series of virtual events so do keep an eye on our website for future events.
