Virtual Lord Mayor’s Visit & Masters Event
We were delighted and honored to be joined by The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman William Russell and the Masters and Prime Wardens of over 40 Livery Companies for a virtual visit to Treloar’s on 5th May.
This time of year Treloar’s would ordinarily be joined by the Masters and the Lord Mayor for their annual visit to the campus, however sadly this year is one of the very few times in Treloar’s history that the visit has not been able to take place.
We did not let that stop us though! The virtual visitors listened to an address from the Lord Mayor together with an update about Treloar’s and how we have coped during the last year. They also met some of our inspirational students as they prepared for their What the Dickens Sixth Form production which will be released on film in the summer months. They also got to stop by TreloarPrint and see how our students are learning business and employability skills together with hearing more about the fundraising appeal to refurbish the Florence Treloar Hall and create a modernised and fully accessible Communication and Performing Arts Hall. Attendees were truly amazed by all they experienced and Zoom provided a wonderful way to bring a little bit of the magic of Treloar’s into their homes and offices.
We were also thrilled to close the event with a fabulous £5,000 cheque presentation from the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants.
We are exceptionally grateful and humbled for the ongoing generosity and interest from the Livery movement – thank you to everyone who attended this event and supports Treloar’s in so many different ways.
