Visit to Treloar’s by United Response
Erin Wills, a Treloar’s Progress & Transition Worker, organised for United Response to come and give a talk about the services their company can provide to our students when they leave Treloar’s. The session gave the students an opportunity to ask questions such as “How do you arrange your care?”; “Do you have people trained to use AACs?”; and “How much does it cost?”.
United Response area manager, Adam Sutherland, brought two service users and their support workers to chat to the students and to provide first-hand information about how they make use of the services offered by their company. These services include employment support, meeting care needs, arranging outings, assisting people to maintain their social network.
The morning was a great success and one that will be incorporated into the transition programme for all our students.
