Wetwheels launch their new ‘Maritime Adventure’ project
Staff members Zoe and Lorna were honoured to be invited to a reception at Portsmouth’s Guildhall earlier this month hosted by Geoff Holt and the rest of the Wetwheels team. It was to officially launch their new ‘Maritime Adventure’ project which will give disabled people the chance to see the historic sights of Portsmouth Harbour from the water in a very sensory and interactive way.
We hadn’t expected it but were very flattered to see Treloar’s student and staff photos, videos and quotes on the Wetwheels literature, handouts, website and used in the presentation. It is lovely to be ambassadors for such a wonderful cause. Geoff thanked Treloar’s for being wonderful ‘guinea pigs’ in helping them gain important feedback about the project from those who use the service first hand.
Our trips are made possible by the Campbell Sports Fund; we really wouldn’t be able to do it without their funding.
