Care
Students come to Treloar’s to acquire new skills and learn. At Treloar’s a holistic approach best supports them to do this. Together staff aim to maximise each student’s potential for independence and help them learn and develop in a way that suits them best.

Health
Students at Treloar’s have a range of complex health needs. Our priority is to enable our students to access education with minimal disruption; we believe early support can make a big difference to long term health. We have a large team of nurses, health care assistants and dietitians, and work closely with our colleagues in the therapy departments, as well as GPs and specialists externally. We work with parents to assess and plan their child’s care. Students have a named nurse (or two) and a named dietitian, so families always know who to contact.

Progress and Transition
All students are allocated a Progress and Transition Coordinator (PTC) who work with the student and the Multi-Disciplinary Team. They monitor progress towards targets. The focus at this stage is to make sure they are placed appropriately, have appropriate EHCP outcomes set and measured and to ensure families are supported in the best way possible. Progress and Transition Coordinator’s are the key point of contact for families and external stakeholders.
